Asymmetrical, all-season touring performance. From scorching highways to snow-covered backroads, the AVID TRZ provides comfort, longevity, confidence and driving satisfaction across all road conditions.

  • Adaptive Sipes change shape as the tread wears. Through Yokohama’s patent-pending design, traditional 2-D sipes evolve into 3-D sipes to maintain ice and snow traction over the life of the tire.
  • Cross-grooves and horizontal elements work together to provide bite for winter traction.
  • New silica compound is more pliable at lower temperatures to ensure better winter traction.
  • Four deep circumferential grooves help expel water quickly, reducing hydroplaning.
  • Grooves and sipes work simultaneously to sweep water away from the tread surface.
  • Two continuous circumferential ribs ensure maximum rubber contact with the road for enhanced grip.
  • Cross supporting tread blocks work together as one continuous block when cornering to maintain superior traction as the vehicle’s weight is transferred to the outside of the tire.
  • Random pitch variation cancels out unwanted frequency noise.
  • Asymmetrical pitch variation reduces amplification of pattern noise by having different patterns inside and outside.
  • New “no compromise” compound provides long mileage and high traction.
